As I was babysitting my 2 year old grandson, Luke, today, I looked at him and wondered
“who will remember me after I’m gone?” Who will remember me and hopefully my contribution to their businesses or lives? What about me will be remembered, by whom and why? The irony is it is all under my control!
I started to really ponder those questions, until it hit me. WHO CARES!!!! Just as long as Luke remembers me!
The legacy we leave is only “present moment” reality. One day at a time, one person at a time, one event at a time. Present moment living is really the key to leaving a legacy. In the long run, it doesn’t matter how much money you have, keep or spend. It doesn’t matter what you own or for how long. In the grand scheme of things, we “rent here”. Want proof? Even your name is not your own, someone gave it to you and someone else in the universe has got the same name!
A legacy is about how you live out your values. It’s a choice we make every day.
How do you leave a legacy? The way, the how and the why you live your life in a consistent manner to all who enter your life every day, and it can a negative or positive one.
We stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before us. None of us got where we are in life on our own. We are the recipients of others’ legacies. Are your shoulders(your legacy) strong enough for the next generation?
Be humble, be grateful, and live it every day.

Like you, business ethics and ethical leadership expert, Frank Bucaro has seen the challenges and problems of corporate leadership, particularly over the past few years in regards to poor decision-making, SEC violations, and record breaking financial settlements in a number of different industries.
With over two decades of executive training, speaking, writing and with real life experiences, his view and approach to ethics in the workplace is uniquely different. He emphasizes that ethics is a moment-to-moment choice and has little to do with position, titles, personalities or education. Ethics is everybody’s responsibility from the top down.
His goal is to help organizations to:
a. Strengthen their ethics training initiatives in order to significantly decrease the odds of an ethical/compliance violation.
b. Energize, train and motivate employees to understand the value of consistent “high road” behavior as a business advantage.
c. Support individuals and thereby the organization by contributing to its success by quality, ongoing values based leadership development.
Frank is known for his very practical, slightly irreverent, yet somewhat humorous approach to ethics and leadership development. His conversational style and real life stories connect with his audience in a personal, intense and practical level.
Companies such as Bayer Healthcare, BP, ReMax International, EnMax Energy, Danone, etc. have partnered with Frank when they want to proactively stress the message, tools, insights and practical applications that good ethics IS good for business!
